Dear Vanessa!

On Monday the 13th of Sept, Dane and Solé were married one week already - unbelievable how quickly time flies!! Needless to even mention that Rudi and I suffered severely from empty nest syndrome and we don't even have an empty nest:-)!

I want to apologise for not having e-mailed you sooner, we are spring-cleaning, and thus all correspondence was left to the wayside. Nevertheless, I saw your mail in Solé's inbox and decided to drop you a line. Vanessa, Rudi and I want to extend our sincerest gratitude to you all at Everwood! What an unbelievable day God blessed us with!! I know it's a cliché, but in this case i will employ the expression anyway: it was a day that dreams are (were) made of!!

Everything about this day was a thing of wonder!! There was not one guest that didn't comment on what a wonderful venue Everwood was. The chapel was what stole Solé's heart from the very beginning and decorated the way it was, it brought tears to my eyes! Together with the beautiful reception area it was simply soul-stirring! From the lovely draping's to the simply gorgeous serviettes (I adored those serviettes; it lent just an x-tra feminine touch to the decor!).

The food, well dear Margariet, wat kan ek tog sê? Jy het jou woord gestand gedoen!! You have no idea, Margariet, how secure and confident it made us feel every time Solé addressed an e-mail to you with a change in this or that or with an enquiry and you responded so speedily!!! The food was indeed marvellous!! And Annatjie was a sweetheart with me in the kitchen time and again to ask something, to request something etc! The waiters were wonderful, especially Brighton, he was a blessing with his broad smile, carrying the jugs of water all over the place:-)! Violet was a real darling and had a good hold on all the happenings! There was food in abundance just as you promised and everybody had more than ample to eat! Thank you for your patience, your kindness, your gentleness and your bubbly efficiency! One of the guests commented that there was a simple, understated elegance in how the Lord orchestrated the whole day - isn't that just a marvellous compliment?!

Dania's labour was a pure touch of magic! We feel incredibly blessed by getting to know you all and having you all to support and carry us through to our daughter's big day - God is good!! We as parents could not have asked for a better wedding day for our daughter!!

What's left to say but a BIG THANKYOU!! May God bless you all richly!

The day was so magical and fun that we didn't have to anticipate anything. All we had to do is be in the moment and enjoy it. We could not have done this if it hadn't been for you. Everything was seamless and stunning!

The first time I went to look at your wedding venue I knew immediately that this is where I wanted to get married and in January it was so beautiful and green, it fitted right in with my theme and all my guests were so impressed with everything. I really think that the thing that's makes this venue so perfect is your beautiful garden chapel, the stunning draping's in the banqueting hall that makes your wedding look like a fairy tale, the nice places that you can take pictures and the absolute friendliness and easiness that you get treated with by you and Margariet, who right from the start make you feel that you are in good hands and that she will make this day perfect for you! Hi Vanessa

Duwane and Shalane are still on their honeymoon.

We all had breakfast together on Sunday and spoke at length about the wedding. We have nothing but praise for you guys as it is one of the best weddings that I have personally been to. Not only did we all enjoy it but just about everybody that was there complimented us on a fantastic wedding. The highest praise need to please be conveyed to the catering staff, it is the first time ever that I have eaten hot food at a function of that size, and then to top that it was extremely delicious as well.

A personal thanks to Margariet, you went way above the call of duty and I cannot thank you enough for your dedication in making Duwane and Shalane's wedding day a very special day that they will remember for ever.

Once again THANK YOU to all involved, we will certainly be recommending you guys to friends and family.

Dear Vanessa,

What an awesome wedding! Margariet was absolutely fantastic. Everything went as planned and we were so grateful to her when she took it upon herself to change the pudding due to the cold weather. I'm so glad I listened to Margariet when she suggested the lamb curry, espeically with the cold weather. The vegetable soup as the starter was delicious. She ran around the entire time and did such lovely finishing touches to the chapel, I was ecstatic when I walked down the aisle and saw what she did.

Ladies, sincere gratitude to you both!!!!!! My wedding was so beautiful! 

My friends asked me how I heard about you (Everwood), I proudly said that "google baby". Everybody was raving about the beauty of Everwood and they said it was a shame that the wedding started late and we couldn't take nice pictures. They'll be amazed to see my beautiful pictures (Thanks to Vanessa and Natasha) for giving us another chance to take pictures. 

Margariet, you saw it all, shooo, I was really stressed. My husband's friend arrived late with the suit... I was really mad at him. Anyway, that's all over now. Oh, my cake was soooooooo beautiful, the food looked delicious and I heard it tasted so, was too stressed to eat... my loss. I'll eat your food when one of my friends come and have a wedding there, I told everyone how reasonable your prices are and also how comfortable you made me feel. Thank you for making the paying arrangements so flexible, anyone can afford to have a beautiful wedding.

Thanks as well for recommending Dania, the décor was beautiful. Natasha and Francois are a pleasure to work with, I just know our pictures are going to be beautiful.

Thank you soooo much for everything you've done to make their wedding a success and an unforgettable experience for all of us. All your efforts and ours were well worth it and we're very grateful for your support. I know that the bride and groom will want to send their personal thanks when they're back so I'll leave the details to them. From myself and the family, we couldn't have asked for a better outcome. The food was excellent (that lamb/mutton curry was unbelievable!) and Chantelle and the team were very helpful and professional.
